Winter in Colorado doesn’t have to leave your home looking bare. With a few landscape updates, you can keep your curb appeal warm, clean, and inviting all Colorado winter season long.
Add Evergreens for Color
Spruce, pine, and juniper keep your landscape vibrant when everything else goes dormant. Even a few evergreen planters can make a big difference.
Let Your Hardscapes Shine
Stone pathways, retaining walls, and boulders add texture and structure in winter. A fresh layer of mulch also brightens garden beds and protects roots.
Use Outdoor Lighting for Warmth
Soft LED lighting along pathways or highlighting trees creates a cozy glow while improving safety on dark winter evenings.
Refresh the Entryway
A clean walkway, winter-friendly doormat, and simple evergreen décor instantly elevate your front porch.
Choose Plants With Winter Interest
Ornamental grasses, red twig dogwood, and berry-producing shrubs offer natural color and contrast against the snow.
Maintain Clear, Tidy Lines
Shovel regularly, trim back dormant plants, and remove debris. A neat landscape looks intentional, even in winter.
Add Small Pops of Color
Planters, winter berries, or warm-toned stone accents add just the right amount of brightness without overpowering the season’s natural simplicity.
